M-Acculate

Words from M-Acculate

I was introduced to hip hop in the early nineties With 2 live crew and quickly became hooked. After the chronic and doggystyle I stumbled across "enter the 36 chambers" by wu tang. Immediately I fell in love with the raw gritty lyricism and wordplay . Fusing my love for poetry with my new interest I soon started writing my own songs and eventually moved into freestyling. I would freestyle over beats all day, with no output for hip hop living in Yorkshire in the mid 90s that's as far as it went apart from recording cassette demos for fun and jumping on mics at house parties etc. In 2002 I recorded 90% of an album which got destroyed in a fire before I got hold of any of it. I went back to freestyling, started to meet a few like minded heads and had the odd cypher until 2006 I formed the "sikboyz" with a local m.C named nukeleus and my friend mik-e...... We recorded an albums worth of material, although never released anything more than a few tracks on myspace. After many creative differences(mainly nukeleus wanting to be a pop star while I was writing most of his lyrics) we'd continue on and off, did the odd few gigs and open mics. Some of our decent stuff is still on my Soundcloud somewhere but its not that good, after being pressured on by friends I decided to make a go of it solo . I dropped my first track "City Life", which I got a lot of positive feedback from. I then joined the a.S.C. (anti social coalition) with a bunch of m.C.S and producers, we dropped an album but again, that fell apart. I stayed working with rez who I had met a couple of years previous, we would drop the odd track. Also at the beginning of 2011 me and mik-e got back in the studio to record what would become my most popular track to date. " Welcome to Bradford" an ode to my hometown from which point I stayed consistent, releasing a new song every 2/3 weeks via my Soundcloud and Reverbnation pages.

Some of the early work can be heard on my recent compilation ‘The M-Acculate Collection’ - Released via HRSUnderground.

My debut double album "Pain is Momentary, Pride is Eternal" finally dropped on Halloween 2012.

Myself, Rez, and Uncle Bungle got together and formed "Lucifer's Apostles" with myself rez and uncle bungle. We have a lot of material up and lots more coming, You can get our mixtape, album and E.P. here.

In 2012 I joined the rippin rhymes collective and we regularly collaborate and put out new music.

I also released my second album "Music To Raise The Dead". 3 songs were produced by N95, serving as a taster for our full length collab album (my 3rd)

"M-acculate's Conception" which dropped on vitiated records in february 2014. And would feature my first of many collaborations with Hidden.

From may 2014 to may 2015 I spent a year signed to independent U.S. Based "Brikaza Records" where I was featured on the front cover of a U.S. Hip hop magazine (probe) and hooked up two big collab tracks with U.K. Heavyweight genesis elijah "Hip Hop" and wu tang clan affiliate group killarmy's beretta 9. Both were featured on Volume 1 of my 3 part compilation series ‘Underground Rising’ Featuring dozens of M’C’s & Producers from all corners of the world.

Although we remained on good terms, I decided against resigning once my contract was up. I continued to drop various features and guest verses over 2016 & 2017, I also released a horrorcore halloween E.P.

I also became a full time member of the HRSUnderground roster with my long time frequent collaborator and friend Hidden. We put together the Hidden Underground compilation, three volumes to be exact..
